
So awakening a 6* cleric to a 7* requires two 5* heroes of the same faction (alliance, horde, etc) and 10 class flags (in this case, cleric flags). When “awakening” a 6-star hero into a 7-star hero, a 7* to an 8*, 8* to a 9*, or a 9* to a 10*, you will need class flags to do it.

These do run out eventually once you have claimed all of the rewards so enjoy the free stuff while you can! The timers get longer each time and the rewards get better.

So without further ado, let’s dig-in to how to play Taptap Heroes! Let’s start with the most basic part of the game - how to navigate.

If you choose to be a “Pay to Win” (P2W) player, you will improve your VIP level and get various benefits depending on what VIP level you are. They provide negligible stat increases and are really just there as an option to change the visual aesthetics of how a hero looks.

The only items in-game NOT available to free players are some of the skins to change the appearance of some heroes. Those who choose to play free are referred to as “Free to Play” (F2P) players. Speaking of money, this game can absolutely be played in its entirety completely FREE. Don’t try to rush things, understand that you will make mistakes, don’t stress out over all of the people spending more money than you and progressing further, and enjoy the game for what it is. As I mentioned, it takes a few weeks just to get out of the beginning stages of the game and can be 4 to 6+ months before you reach anything resembling end-game material. If you do not have the patience to see your work pay off, then this game is not for you. The one thing you will see from anybody offering advice is that this game is built around patience.
